Hi Everyone:
This step is the next to last. It is not a difficult step, but one that bears reminding you about.
STEP 11
This step is one in which you have to understand your own need to get organized, and staying that way. By now you have learned that putting things away as soon as you use them is essential to your success to remain clutter-free.
Because you have learned different techniques from your Organizer (or Coach) in how to maintain your clutter-free existence, it is important that you not start a new technique every other day to see if it's better. If you have concerns about something that you feel is not working well for you, then check with the professional that you have hired. That's what they're there for.
I have just mentioned "Coach" to you. Sometimes hiring a Coach will work for you if you are able to follow directions and do the physical work yourself. Having a Coach in another part of the country, or world, will be just as effective as having one in your home State as Coaching is done by phone, or Skype. This process takes longer than having an Organizer work hands-on with you, but in the long run it could also be less expensive. Organizers typically work by the hour, sometimes requesting at least 4 hours per day. Fees can range anywhere from $50/hour to $200/hour, depending on where you are located, and the expertise of the Organizer. Coaching is typically done per month, with fees running from $100/month to well over $1,000/month, depending again on the expertise of the Coach. A good Coach will be teaching you, as well as guiding you in ways to look at things differently than you currently are. You must have a good rapport with your Organizer or Coach, so be selective about the one you choose.
The last step will be Step 12, where I will tie all these steps together for you. Good for you for hanging in!
'Til next time . . . Coach Sheila of clutter STOP
